Your iPhone 11 may occasionally display glitches, dips in performance or other problems due to software issues or hardware-related problems.

You can safely rule out hardware damage if your device didn’t recently fall in water or on a hard surface, both of which can cause significant damage to the various hardware components, causing the device to malfunction.

If your iPhone 11 doesn’t have any noticeable hardware problems, you are dealing with software problems.

The good news is, these are often relatively easy to fix and you don’t even need an expert to help you repair the iPhone.

Here, we will show you how to fix an iPhone 11 that is glitching.

iPhone 11 Glitchy Screen? Apple May Replace it for Free

If the problem you have is of an unresponsive screen, your iPhone 11 may be part of a small percentage of devices that Apple has acknowledged may stop responding to touch because of a problem with the display module.

Devices that are experiencing this problem were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020 and if your iPhone 11 is one of them, Apple may replace your screen for free.

This only applies to iPhone 11 devices and not iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max, which use different OLED screens that use a different display module from the one employed by the Liquid Retina LCD display for the iPhone 11.

If you bought your iPhone between November of 2019 and May of 2020, your device may have faulty display modules that are affecting its functionality.

Apple has however made it easy for you to check if your device is one of the affected and check if you are eligible for the free screen replacement program.

You can simply paste the device’s serial number into Apple’s replacement program page to find out.

Here’s how you can find your device’s serial number:

  • Step 1: Open the Settings app and then tap on “General.”
  • Step 2: From the options that appear, select “About” and you should see the device’s serial number in the top section.
  • Step 3: Tap and hold on to the serial number and then tap on “copy” to copy it to the clipboard.

You can then go to https://support.apple.com/iphone-11-display-module-replacement-program on any browser and paste in the serial number to see if the device is eligible for replacement.

Please note however that even if the device is eligible, Apple will not replace it unless it actually has a problem with the touchscreen.

You may therefore need to follow up by taking the device to an Apple-authorized Service Provider to get it verified.

You can also use Apple’s mail-in service to get it replaced if you qualify for replacement.
