Pokémon GO is a simple and fun game with a basic storyline. You roam around in the wild, catch Pokémons, collect items to evolve, and complete research tasks.

But when it comes to truly becoming the Pokémon master of the game, you can always use a little help.

There are some tips and hacks that can help get better at the game, like how to spoof with VMOS to become a pro Pokémon player.

What Is VMOS

If you're on Android version 5.1 or later, you're eligible to install VMOS, a Virtual Machine. This VMOS app helps you to run another Android system on your device which has a completely different interface from your original Android UI.

It has its own Play services, apps, and settings. What's unique about it is that it gives you the ability to spoof Pokémon GO locations without raising a red flag with the game's developer Niantic.

What Is VMOS

VMOS can be used for more than only spoof hacking. You can use the VMOS to unlock different features of your smartphone.

Also, VMOS makes it possible to use a GPS joystick that helps you move around quickly. Greener pastures and new Pokémons await, just so you know.

Is VMOS Safe to Us?

Are you a Pokémon GO player and have decided to use VMOS for spoofing, but still unsure whether it is safe or not? Using VMOS is perfectly safe because it allows you to create two versions of the Android system on one device.

Just make sure you don't get carried away with it and start taking long jumps in the game. These two steps will reduce the odds of getting your account banned in Pokémon GO.

Furthermore, you will be able to create a different Android system for the game only with VMOS. So, feel free to leverage VMOS to spoof location in Pokémon GO and it is totally safe.

Does VMOS Still Work for Pokémon GO in 2024?

Wondering if VMOS is still working for Pokémon GO after the last update? The answer is yes. Pokémon GO players can use the VMOS hack, but they need to be cautious.

When Pokémon GO developers patched the game, it stopped working on virtual devices. This led to Pokémon players complaining to the developers of VMOS and as a result of this, they updated the application.

But the application was not updated properly. So currently, spoofing is only possible if you're using a rooted Android. This can be a big detriment for users that don't want to root their device.

To use the VMOS securely, we recommend no to jump too far to any location and your game progression will stay safe.

Pros and Cons Of VMOS

There are many reasons why it makes sense to install VMOS, as well as reasons you may not want to. Let's look at them.

The Pros of VMOS:

  • No need to root the Android device. If you don't have proper knowledge about rooting then it can be troublesome and will also void the warranty.
  • Installation can be completed in minutes.
  • Use the stock (vanilla) version of Android.
  • Able to easily change the resolution of the screen.
  • Ability to install the apps two times. So if you're using the Facebook app. You can install another Facebook app on VMOS.
  • Xposed framework can change Android from system files to root operations.
  • Switch between or use two apps at the same time.
  • It's absolutely free to use.

The Cons of VMOS:

  • Unable to properly work on a smartphone that has less than 32GB and 2GB RAM. Android should be running OS 5.1 or later.
  • Unable to access full features of the Android device.
  • Currently, it only works on Android devices.

However, the cons are lesser than the Pros. Using the VMOS for Pokémon GO is all up to you. Continue reading below to find out how to use VMOS without root.

How to Use VMOS for Pokémon GO

Step 5: Now you have to install apps to spoof Pokémon GO. First, you have to install a GPS Joystick and Lucky Patcher. Give these apps root permission.

Now move the GPS Joystick app to System then to the App folder. So that it will be set as a system app. You can use the file explorer to move the joystick folder to the system app folder.

If you get a problem notification, just ignore it.

  • Reboot the VMOS app and give root permission to the ES File Explorer from the settings.
  • Open System and delete the xbin folder from it.
  • Uninstall Lucky Patcher from VMOS and install VFIN. After the installation open VFIN and tap twice on Kill Process and Bypass Pokémon GO
  • Select a different location on VMOS by running the GPS JoyStick app.
  • Open Pokémon GO and you will be able to spoof.

 Use VMOS for Pokemon GO

Spoofing can give you an advantage in Pokémon GO over other players but it can come at a price.

Precautions While Spoofing

Spoofing your location can get you banned from the game, but if you're careful and you take necessary precautions, you won't get detected or banned by the developer.

You should never start with very far locations. Start with near locations, and don't change your locations frequently. These are the two most important tips.

On top of that, when using a joystick to travel virtually, if you get the GPS signal not found the problem, all you have to do is remove the arrow keys frame to ensure the problem disappears instead of trying anything else. If this doesn't work, all you have to do is relaunch it.

When searching for Pokémons using real-time maps, you should search for Pokémons slowly. Rushing the process can mess up your success since Pokémons might not have enough time to spawn.

If you have issues fighting/capturing, you should set the location to "Device only" mode.

Even though hacks are still active and can be used, developers are closing down on patching these things and if you don't take precautions, unusual actions can get you flagged and banned from the game.

What if I want to Spoof Pokémon GO Location on iOS Device?

If you spoof Pokémon GO's location on your iPhone, you won't be able to use VMOS as it's only available for Android handsets at this time. That said, you can use an iPhone GPS spoofer like MockGo to achieve the same freedom.

The app works on most iPhones inlcuding the latest iPhone 15 and iOS 17 and the best part is that you do not need to jailbreak your device in order to spoof your game GPS such as Pokémon GO, Mobile Legends, Jurassic World Alive, and more.

Simulate the Multi-stop Movement

Conclusion

Now you don't need to get up from your couch or buy tickets to travel to another location and catch different types of Pokémon. For Android users, the VMOS app for GPS spoofing hack has you covered. Likewise, iOS users can count on MockGo to get the job done. Enjoy!
